Marketing... with balls!

2Oddballs
We believe that taking the road less traveled is a good thing. From 2016 to 2018 Kylie and Gabriel traveled and worked their way to the far reaches of the globe, living in Taiwan and Ecuador. They started running 2oddballs remotely, but as the business grew, they saw the need to move back to the USA. There’s no place like home!
Running 2oddballs from their office in Springfield, MO, their vision is to build a socially responsible, employee-responsive and client-centered business not limited by buildings or borders.
Their vision is to build a business allowing their employees and themselves the freedom to explore the world as they once did. While most of our clients are here in the Ozarks, we do have clients in Alaska, Canada, and North Carolina. Our employees are free to work from home, and we emphasize the quality and completion of work over where and when the work is done. We find this model and attitude not only cost efficient, but morale-boosting as well.
2oddballs is more than just goofy jokes and marketing. We’re part of a new generation of companies who strives to help build a better world one employee, one client, one business transaction at a time.

talent you can trust
The Oddly skilled
In an age where the words “expert” and “experienced” have lost their impact, who can you trust?
The ones who can prove it.
Sure, we can brag on our years of experience too (most of us have a decade+ in our respective fields) but just because you’ve done something for a long time doesn’t mean you’ve done it well.
So, here’s our roster, what they bring to the table, and a link to our work.

Gabriel Cassady
learn more about Gabriel
The Social Tie

Gabriel is originally from Joplin, MO but now lives in Springfield with wife and Co-Owner Kylie. Holding a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Journalism from Missouri State University, Gabriel’s professional background has taken him all over the Missouri map. From his first job at a TV station in Joplin, to a brief stint in radio in Sedalia early in his college career, through college where Gabriel DJed weddings and events (where – and when – he met Gary).
After graduating MSU, Gabriel was a freelancer. He managed social media and worked as a graphic designer in myriad industries including real estate, restaurant, hospitality, as well as a communication internship with the Nixa Public School system administration (where he first worked with Derek). Gabriel’s last “real job” was as a Marketing Specialist for West Plain Vet Supply (WPVS) where he met Amy Smith.
MR Dig-In

I love learning, reading, and getting to know people, and that’s what I get to do all day. So, most of my day is spent doing one or more of the following kinds of tasks:
- collaborating and conversing with clients and potential clients via phone, text message, email, video call, or in-person
- researching stuff online or otherwise investigating and learning about things related to clients, potential clients, a bug we’re trying to resolve, or a technical feature or software we’re wanting to implement
- writing press releases, blogs, briefs, reports, documentation, etc. for clients or other Oddballs
- creating proposals or compiling and signing contracts; brainstorming, creating, or giving/getting feedback on creative content, ad campaigns, etc.

The Glue

Hailing from Strafford, MO, Kylie comes from a family of businessmen and women. She attended the college of business at Missouri State University and graduated with a degree in Advertising and Promotion. Her true skills lie in managing projects and people. She’s the glue that holds this ship together. With over a decade’s worth of experience in restaurant and hospitality, no one knows how to juggle customers, costs, tasks, time, and teams like Kylie – it’s in her blood!
As one of the founding 2oddballs, Kylie has had her hands on nearly every aspect of the business, from accounts to accounting. On any given day you might find her creating posts for clients’ social media, designing graphics or whole websites, or her primary duty as of late – managing project workflows.
I Keep it Roll'n

I help keep the gears of 2oddballs Creative turning. My day is a mix of client communication, project coordination, and feedback on design work to ensure everything stays on track and meets our standards. Whether I’m scheduling tasks for the team, overseeing our financial reporting and bookkeeping, or managing a few of our social media accounts, I strive to keep things running smoothly. I also enjoy getting out into the community and networking. Every day brings something different, but that’s what keeps things exciting!

Ninja

Most of my time is spent ensuring clients websites are functioning and working how they should be. Most of what I do isn’t viewed by the end users or even really seen by the clients themselves. Occasionally I get to build a clients website from scratch, add a new feature or page to a current customers site, or work my magic with a lot of our print projects like books, branding guides, and banners.

The Savvy Stylist

Sarina is a dynamic and detail-oriented gal who’s got a knack for keeping things running smoothly and making them look good at the same time. Serving as our Administrative Assistant & Marketing Strategist, she excels in organizing campaign concepts, curating design content, and creating a strong support for her oddball team.
In the community, Sarina enjoyed performing with Ozarks Lyric Opera when she was in high school and undergrad until she found her love for textile design while getting a Bachelor of Arts at Drury University. She was not only a Young Artist for OLO at the time but has also showcased her creative talents since graduating as the Costume Designer for their productions of “Pagliacci” and “Don Giovanni” where she was solely responsible for designing, procuring, and constructing costumes for world-renowned vocalists and chorus members. Her poise under pressue, leadership & keen eye for design made her a strong production asset.
Her background also includes experience in voice acting for radio advertisements and radio broadcasting, adding a unique dimension to her skill set.
Creative First Mate

I find fulfillment in creating impactful graphics to promote our clients and spread joy about what they, as a company, are passionate about. My day usually involves designing branded images – utilizing audience demographics and client values to best capture our clients’ voices – specifically in social media posts and targeted emails which boost the sense of community within brand engagement. I help keep event calendars up to date, assist the owners with their projects when needed, and work behind the scenes to ensure that the S.S. Oddball is smoothly sailing and that the dedicated Co-Captains are able to do what they do best, and the rest will be taken care of by myself or Amy.

the oddballs and how we do business
Business Basics
We do business a little differently than everyone else, if you haven’t noticed.
Our values weren’t made up, printed out, and stuck on a break room cork board no one looks at. They’re things we care deeply about.
See how the way we handle our business translates to better results for you.
In everything in life, our oddballs believe in empathy and respect. That means treating clients and coworkers the way you would like to be treated. It also means treating every project as if it was own.

Our Mission
2oddballs’ mission is to help businesses and organizations build deep, lasting, fruitful and meaningful connections with their customers, clients, and all the stakeholders in their businesses – because that’s what strong communities are made of.
We do that by building meaningful relationships with our own clients. To us, you’re more than just a number. You’re part of the 2oddballs family.
We’ve all had the experience of feeling deeply connected with a family member or a friend. A person can have a meaningful connection to their first car, their favorite sports team, their favorite color or book. We connect on various levels with each other, with animals, with stories – and yes – brands and organizations. Because – at their core – brands, businesses, organizations and governments are really all just people.
Associates/Clubs
All of us at 2oddballs Creative believe a big part of what makes a healthy and thriving community is responsible business practices such as providing a helping hand to the nonprofit organizations working to make your area a better place to live.
